The beauty of the winter landscape of the Karwendel Silver Region in the heart of Tyrol is hard to beat. Numerous ski areas with slopes of varying degrees of difficulty, far from mass tourism invite you, especially to start, to return and to enjoy. Many free courses are offered to refresh knowledge or learn something new. The pleasure never comes too short here. The untouched nature also enchants ski tourers and snowshoe or winter hikers. There are no limits to winter and snow fun here, and for those who want to let off steam far from the slopes and forests, there is a rich cultural offer.
In addition to skiing in the nearby small and large ski resorts, there are many other relaxing winter activities such as winter hiking, tobogganing, cross-country skiing, winter hiking, ice skating and ski touring!
Tips for Winter
Tyrol has long been established as an Eldorado of winter sports. The snow-covered mountains offer an activity for every taste.
Ski Area Kellerjoch
This small ski area can be reached in around 20 minutes by car. A double chairlift takes you up to an altitude of 1,887 meters, where you can enjoy breathtaking views over the valley and great descents.
Toboggan Run
The start is about 15 minutes walk from us. After a leisurely walk of one hour you get to the starting point, sit on the toboggan and enjoy the descent.
Skiworld Zillertal
The Zillertal ski regions are known worldwide. Hochzillertal, for example, is located in Kaltenbach, which you can reach in about half an hour’s drive from us.
Cross-country Skiing
For cross-country skiers, there are beautiful trails in the surrounding area. One is located in the immediate vicinity on Vomperberg. There is also a great offer at Lake Achensee.
Silver Region and Karwendel, these two names stand for one of the most exciting vacation areas in Tyrol. It stretches from the Bavarian border over the Karwendel peaks into the Tux Alps.
